Oh Hell - I lost another Lanier Mariner. That's number 4, and they are no longer in production. Guess I'll have to find another flying boat for Merle's "Float Flys". And of course the engine, as you will notice, is not on the pieces that Jake recovered for me. It's at the bottom of Lake Hennessey!!!

Well the McDonalds are still at it. Jake takes 'em down any way he can. He's made more streamer cuts than anyone else with the guts to tie one their plane. Then he take his Dad "OUT" period. ;D

A bad day at the field today. Not only lost one but TWO nice planes today. First- a Great Planes Super Decathlon. Not very good maners on the ground. Got it airborn tooooooo quick. Not enough air speed. We all know what happens then, eh! The vinyard ate it!! :-[

Then my beautifull Hangar Nine P-40 went in!! :( All I can figure is the control rod on the elevator came out of the clevis at the servo, then I had massive flutter (as I was at full throttle) and half of the elevator blew off. Can't do much with no elevator, so the vinyarad got that one too!! :-\

Well it was a good run while it lasted.  I went for almost two years without a catastrophic crash.  Until this morning.  I impact tested at least two posts in the vineyard with my freshly painted Bf109 in the first heat of the pylon race today.  Oh well, guess I wasn't really ready to move up yet. ;D

It was Jeff Penner that took me out. But, he went down too. I think he's fixable, though.

Dern - I didn't get a picture of my Super Sportster while it was floating in the Lake. Soooooo I took one on my work table while I am putting things back together. She will fly again.
