More items for the auction at the May Club meeting. A Raptor Heli complete with manual and a field box to go with it (or maybe seperate) that includes a Heli starter. And there will also be a Sea Hawk airplane KIT 50" wing span complete with hardware and manual. There will also be a .61 4 stroke engine.

Being new to looking for thermals I have found a little here and there. When there's a little wind it's easier to stay up longer, too, by quartering the wind. I have been using battery to gain altitude, then cruise around looking for thermals. Then power to get back up there again. It's been fun leaning back in a chair and watching the timer on the transmiter. John

Sunday March 24 turned out to be a last flight for one other plane as well. Mike Craciolo (glad to have ya back in the club) and his P-47 were at the field for a great day of flying. The weather was perfect. Many members present. Mike taxied out and took off to the North. He imediately noticed that his ailerons were reversed. (Sorry Mike, but a pre-flight inspection would have caught that, and I'll have to admit-I did that very same thing once) Sooooooooo--as a saftey matter instead of trying to fight it with reversed ailerons back to the runway, he gave it down elevator and dumped it in the creek. Now ya have a motor and radio gear to put in a new plane, eh Mike.

Well---Sad to say we have another addition to this thread today. She was a beautifull plane. She did a very nice knife edge all the way down the runway just over the vineyard. I was thinking she was a little bit low. 'Bout that time as I watched, right into the trees she went! When the parts all reached the ground and the noise quit---the pilot Greg Heumann said "I completely forgot about those trees!"

Here's another one ready for the "Paint Ball Shoot". Phil called me yesterday and asked if I would try and make it fly again. Well--it's ready !! The old K&B carb was frozen, the battery, of course was junk, and the motor felt like it had sand in it !! Soaked the carb. in penetrating goop all night, put another battery in it and it already had a JR receiver, so all I had to do there was put a 47 crystal in it and whadayaknow--the carb freed up this morning. Sooooooo-I re-plumbed the fuel tank, put it all back together, fueled 'er up and she fired right up !! Can't waijt for "Opening Day" John
